IPNews-Monrovia:The Government of Liberia informs the general public that a third person has tested positive for the Coronavirus disease in the country.
According to government of Liberia release, the new case is 63-year-old Linda Ross, who was immediately taken to the 14 Military Hospital to be treated. Her contacts are being traced.
In the wake of this development, Health Minister Wilhelmina Jallah will convene an emergency meeting of the Incident Managment Team (IMT) on Saturday, March 21, to review existing health protocols and possibly announce new measures.
The government in it’s release urges calm as it works tirelessly to prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus. The public will be kept regularly up to date with developments as they unfold.

What do they called she was immediately taken the to the 14 Military Hospital? The lady passed thru the airport and her passport showed that she had come from Italy. They allowed her to walk out freely to go home – and she even threw a party. The folks assigned at the airport are not doing a good job. They are helping to expose our people to danger.
Please be informed that,there are people who don’t show up the signs and symptoms of diseases when they come in contact with an affected person until some days have passed. You will be tested negative at the airport but later on be tested positive with in days after you have arrived and come in contact with others depending on the carrier of the virus or disease. There are two carriers(asymptomatic: these are people who showed up signs and symptoms in the chronic stage of the virus and there are other people who showed up signs and symptoms in the early stage of the virus or disease,the symptomatic carrier of the virus or disease).
These are some reasons why contact tracing is important.

The government of Liberia is trying, but she need to strengthen the screening measures at the airport. She also need to mitigate the gathering of people in public places.
