Breaking News! Angry mob Besiege NEC Grand Kru Co. Office, As LINU Warns against Vote wrecking

IPNews-Grand Kru County: Report coming from Grand Kru County, says angry protesters have besieged the office of the National Elections Commission in Barclayville City, calling for the unconditional release of actual results from votes counted during the December 8, 2020, midterm Senatorial elections.

According to the report, the protest broke up after word circulated early this morning that the ruling party was contemplating reversing the votes in favor of Dr. Peter Coleman.

Our reporter in Barclayville explains that members of the Opposition block , including independent candidates have join forces in calling for the unconditional release of the results.

Video potage from the scene is alarming, with just four officers of the Liberia National Police present.

In a telephone conversation with IPNews, the political least of the Liberia National Union-LINU, former Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency-EPA, Nathaniel T. Blama, stated that there were consultative plans by the CDC to reverse votes in favor of LINU presumptive winner Nathaniel N. Bahway.

Blama stated that LINU will resist any attempt by the CDC to reverse votes in favor of its candidate even at the level of the Supreme Court of Liberia.

Blama insisted that there is no need to undercut the results of the elections.

Our reporter at the NEC office in Barclay says the situation has intensified with protesters threatening to burn-down building if the results are wreck in favor of Senator Peter Coleman of the CDC.

NEC officially release results from Grand Kru county yesterday, December 12,2020, puts Mr. Nathaniel N. Bahway, with a total vote of 22.22%
